【外賓參訪】強化台印高教連結宜大迎接Amity University Haryana教授來訪

深化國際夥伴關係：國立宜蘭大學與印度亞米堤大學哈里亞納分校探索未來合作

國立宜蘭大學國際事務處今（6）日熱情迎接來自印度亞米堤大學哈里亞納分校（Amity University Haryana）的Atul Thakur教授蒞校訪問，展開一日的學術交流行程。

Thakur教授於上午抵達本校，首先由國際事務處安排雙邊學校簡報與座談，雙方就國際合作、校務發展及學術重點領域進行交流。隨後前往工學院，雙方針對工程教育與科研發展進行初步探討，展現宜大積極推動國際化的努力與成果。

Atul Thakur 教授此行也代表 Amity University，頒發榮譽教授證書予本校機械與機電工程學系王金燦特聘教授，肯定王教授在工程領域的傑出貢獻。此舉不僅彰顯兩校的深厚情誼，更為未來的學術合作奠定堅實基礎。

當日下午，Thakur教授參訪本校熱流生物能實驗室（Thermofluid Bio-Energy Lab, TFBE），由王金燦教授率領研究團隊親自導覽並進行技術介紹，雙方針對能源與機械領域的研究方向與成果進行討論，Thakur教授對該實驗室在能源技術領域的研發表現表示高度肯定與興趣。

Amity University為印度最具國際影響力的私立大學體系之一，其Haryana校區在工程與應用科學領域具備堅實基礎。此次Thakur教授的來訪，為雙方未來深化合作奠定良好基礎，預期將有助於拓展學生與教師的國際學術視野，開創更多實質合作機會。

Strengthening Global Partnerships: NIU and Amity University Haryana Explore Future Collaboration

The Office of International Affairs at National Ilan University (NIU) warmly welcomed Professor Atul Thakur from Amity University Haryana, India, on the 6th for a one-day academic exchange visit.

Upon his arrival in the morning, Professor Thakur participated in presentations and discussions organized by the OIA. Both universities exchanged views on international cooperation, institutional development, and key academic fields. He then visited the College of Engineering, where both sides engaged in preliminary discussions on engineering education and research development, highlighting NIU’s active efforts and achievements in advancing internationalization.

During the visit, Professor Thakur also presented an Honorary Professorship certificate on behalf of Amity University to Distinguished Professor Chin-Tsan Wang of NIU’s Department of Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Engineering, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of engineering. This gesture not only underscored the strong ties between the two institutions but also laid a solid foundation for future academic collaboration.

In the afternoon, Professor Thakur visited Thermofluid Bio-Energy Laboratory (TFBE), where he was guided by Professor Wang and his research team. The team introduced their research projects and technological advances, and both sides discussed future directions in energy and mechanical engineering. Professor Thakur expressed strong appreciation and great interest in the laboratory’s achievements in energy technology development.

Amity University is one of India’s most internationally influential private university systems, with its Haryana campus recognized for its strong foundation in engineering and applied sciences. Professor Thakur’s visit has laid a promising groundwork for deeper collaboration, expected to broaden the international academic horizons of both students and faculty, while creating more opportunities for meaningful cooperation in the future.
