國立宜蘭大學第三屆排燈節盛大登場　百年校慶點亮多元文化之光

國立宜蘭大學第三屆排燈節於11月19日盛大舉行，作為宜大百年校慶系列活動之一，吸引眾多校內外貴賓與師生共襄盛舉，現場洋溢著熱鬧而溫馨的國際節慶氛圍。本次活動貴賓雲集，邀請前農委會主委、前宜蘭縣長林聰賢及夫人、校友會陳俊雄理事長，以及來自泰國 KMUTT、日本島根大學與多所教育、文化機構的代表蒞臨參與；校內多位主管與師長亦親臨現場，展現對國際文化交流活動的高度支持。

林聰賢前縣長致詞時表示，自己曾造訪印度，對宜蘭大學能夠舉辦如此具深度與文化內涵的國際節慶活動感到相當驚喜，也肯定宜大在推動國際化上的用心與努力。

活動由印度學生介紹排燈節（Diwali）的由來，並帶領進行傳統祭拜儀式（Pooja）揭開序幕。會場以油燈（Diya）、萬壽菊花環，以及由本校印度學生親手製作的傳統地畫「藍國麗」（Rangoli）妝點，營造出濃厚且莊重的節慶氛圍。印度學生團隊亦精心準備道地手作印度點心與香料茶（Masala Tea），香氣四溢，吸引眾多師生排隊品嚐。學生們同時安排了魔術與舞蹈表演，傳遞排燈節象徵的喜悅、光明與共享精神。

今年活動最受矚目的亮點，莫過於「國際特色服裝秀」。除印度學生身著華麗傳統服飾登場外，原住民族學生與同仁也穿著泰雅、阿美、布農與排灣族服飾共同走秀，日本交換生則以清新典雅的浴衣加入展演，多元文化交織出一幅美麗動人的國際風景，贏得全場熱烈掌聲與歡呼。

活動在象徵光明與祝福的仙女棒點亮儀式中溫馨落幕，也為即將到來的宜大百年校慶，揭開一段充滿國際色彩的美好序章。

NIU Third Diwali Festival

—Lighting Up Cultural Diversity Ahead of Its Centennial Celebration

National Ilan University (NIU) held its third Diwali Festival on November 19 as part of its upcoming centennial celebrations, drawing distinguished guests, faculty, and students to a warm and festive international gathering. Among the honored attendees were former Yilan County Magistrate Lin Tsung-hsien and his wife, NIU Alumni Association representatives, delegates from KMUTT in Thailand, Shimane University in Japan, and various educational and cultural institutions, alongside many NIU administrators and faculty members.

Former Magistrate Lin expressed his delight at seeing NIU host such a culturally rich celebration, noting his past visit to India and commending the university’s dedication to international engagement.

The event opened with an introduction to the origins of Diwali, followed by a traditional Pooja ceremony. The venue was decorated with Diyas, marigold garlands, and a handcrafted Rangoli made by NIU’s Indian students, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere. Guests enjoyed handmade Indian snacks and Masala Tea, while students presented magic and dance performances that highlighted the joy and symbolism of Diwali.

A major highlight was the International Costume Showcase, featuring Indian traditional attire, Indigenous Taiwanese clothing representing Atayal, Amis, Bunun, and Paiwan cultures, and Japanese yukata worn by exchange students. The colorful presentation captured the spirit of cultural exchange and received enthusiastic applause.

The festival concluded with a sparkler-lighting ceremony symbolizing hope and blessings, opening a bright and internationally minded chapter for NIU as it approaches its centennial year.
