國立宜蘭大學於5月6日與日本東北農林專門職大學舉行合作備忘錄(MOU)簽署儀式,雙方正式建立合作夥伴關係。本次合作聚焦農業教育與永續發展領域,兩校在 SDGs 實踐主軸上,皆以「永續農業」作為推動永續發展的重要核心,並於 SDG 2「消除飢餓與永續農業」、SDG 4「優質教育」及 SDG 15「陸域生態」等目標上,展現高度一致的發展方向與實踐基礎。尤其在 SDG 13「氣候行動」面向,東北農林專門職業大學著重於脫碳社會建構與森林資源永續利用,國立宜蘭大學則聚焦於農村綠能推動、智慧農業應用與永續治理實踐。雙方在減碳、農林資源循環利用及氣候變遷調適等議題上,不僅具備共同目標,更展現出技術、場域與教育資源互補的合作潛力。未來若能進一步深化交流,將有助於共同培育具國際視野之永續農林人才,並為全球永續發展與氣候行動貢獻更具體且長遠的影響力。期望透過跨國交流與實務連結,深化兩校在教學、研究及人才培育等面向之長期合作,持續為永續發展盡一份心力。
本校校長陳威戎致詞時表示,兩校在農業教育與永續發展理念上具備共同目標與發展願景,未來將持續推動具前瞻性且具實質效益之合作關係。他並指出,雙方合作平台將有助於強化交流連結,進一步拓展國際農業教育合作網絡。
日本東北農林專門職大學校長神山修致詞表示,此次簽署合作備忘錄深具意義,象徵雙方合作正式啟動。他強調,面對全球永續農業發展趨勢,農業教育應更加強化永續理念之實踐,並期待未來進一步深化學生與師資交流。
在雙方致詞後,兩校正式完成合作備忘錄簽署並交換文件,隨後進行簽署合影及團體合照,見證合作關係正式展開。本校園藝系朱玉教授亦於交流中回顧雙方長期淵源,提及自秋田大學時期即建立互動,並透過亞洲農業相關合作網絡持續深化交流,展現深厚情誼與合作基礎。本次簽署儀式亦由宜蘭大學致贈紀念品予來訪貴賓,為活動畫下圓滿句點。

National Ilan University and Tohoku Professional University of Agriculture and Forestry, Japan, held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony on May 6, officially establishing a partnership between the two institutions. This collaboration focuses on agricultural education and sustainable development. Under the shared framework of SDGs implementation, both universities regard sustainable agriculture as a key foundation for promoting sustainability, demonstrating closely aligned visions and practical strengths in SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 15: Life on Land. In particular, regarding SDG 13: Climate Action, Tohoku Professional University of Agriculture and Forestry emphasizes the development of a decarbonized society and the sustainable utilization of forest resources, while National Ilan University focuses on rural green energy promotion, smart agriculture applications, and sustainable governance practices. The two institutions share common goals in carbon reduction, circular utilization of agricultural and forestry resources, and climate change adaptation, while also demonstrating strong complementary potential in technology, practical field applications, and educational resources. Through further exchanges and collaboration, both universities aim to cultivate globally minded professionals in sustainable agriculture and forestry, strengthen long-term cooperation in teaching, research, and talent development, and contribute to global sustainable development and climate action through international collaboration and practical engagement.
President Wei-Jung Chen stated that both universities share common goals and a vision in agricultural education and sustainable development. He expressed that the partnership will continue to advance forward-looking and impactful cooperation, and further enhance communication platforms to expand international networks in agricultural education.
President Osamu Kamiyama noted that the signing of the MOU is of great significance, marking the official launch of collaboration between the two universities. He emphasized that, in response to global trends in sustainable agriculture, agricultural education should further strengthen the practice of sustainability, and expressed his expectation to deepen exchanges among students and faculty in the future.
Following the remarks, both universities completed the signing of the MOU and exchanged documents, followed by a signing photo session and a group photograph to mark the official commencement of the partnership. Professor Yu Chu also reflected on the long-standing relationship between the two institutions, noting that exchanges began during earlier collaboration with Akita Prefectural University and have since been sustained through Asian agricultural cooperation networks, demonstrating a solid foundation of friendship and academic partnership. The ceremony concluded with souvenir presentations from National Ilan University to the visiting delegation.
